How Are La / Orange County / San Diego Among The Top 25 “fattest” Metro Areas In The Country?

I read on CNN.com recently that the LA-Orange County / San Diego metro areas are amoung the top 25 fattest metro areas in the country. How did that happen? It would seem that with all of these prissy and self-conscious white ladies, paper-thin Asian ladies (who are naturally thin), and surfers out here in So Cal how can that be possible? Apparently, places like Denver, Salt Lake, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Austin, Colorado Springs, and Albuquerque have So Cal beat, big time. What happened to everyone in So Cal being health-freaks?

Look at the lines of McDonald’s and In~N~Out compared to healthier choices like Subway. At dinner time Subway is practically empty and the greasy fattening places are so busy.
Not to mention Starbucks on every corner. Some (bigger) shopping centers have like 3 or 4 of them. Some of those drinks are just loaded with calories.

The news lies to you. You can NEVER get an accurate description and they tend to exaggerate.
When the 6.5 earthquake that shook San Simeon struck, CNN news reporters called it “THE WORST DISASTER THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED!!!” when really, it wasn’t even a big deal and I was in it so I know!
Mr. J – What did THAT have to do with the question!?

Easy answer With a fast food restaurant on every corner, along with the 3 hrs sitting in traffic to get anywhere, Plus people spending Hrs and Hrs on Y/A answering ridiculous questions, NO FRIKKIN WONDER. Last year I weighed a svelte 150 lbs.. but following the answer i presented,
I’m pushing 450 lbs and climbing. ERR, pass the greasy fries please

    -Long commutes, stuck in traffic
-Fast food joints like In-N-Out and Taco Bell everywhere
    -Big 65″ flat panel TV’s.
Lose the stereotypes. They don’t apply to the majority of people here in SoCal.
